Past Events

On October 3th we will visit our sister association, Simius Hircus, for their run! Take on the challenge on the 6km course with 31 obstacles in and around Utrecht Science Park. The run is ideal for novice or inexperienced survivalists (you should be able to climb a rope and be able to go over ropes and beams), but make no mistake, it is certainly still a tough course. This one is also suitable for more experienced survivalists who feel like a fun run after the lockdown! You can run the Utrecht Survival run individually, but also in pairs or in a group. In a couple or group, you run under the same starting number and you can help each other over obstacles. The options are:

1. 6KM group run: do the run in groups of maximum 5 persons, € 10.00 (cost pp)
2. 6KM couple run: do the run in a couple, € 20.00
3. 6KM individual run: € 10.00
4. 6KM heavy run: for people with experience, € 10.00

Start is between 10:00hr and 14:00hr, more information here and for subscription go here. If you do not know now how subscription works, feel free to ask in the AT chat or message a board member! For our overview, we like that you subscribe on the AT website, and you have to subscribe on the AT website to join transport arranged by AT. For the run itself, you have to subscribe on the linked website! You need an SBN membership for insurance, but you can buy a day pass if you do not want a year membership yet.

A long long time ago, before the first corona lockdown there was a very successful cocktail night. To follow up on this great success, we present you a new sparkling edition. Because we want to go for a fresh start of the year, celebrate the last of summer and love our club color this time this night will be all about the color Green. So sign up to mix your green cocktails and play some green related games!   The price will be around 10-15 euros if you want alcohol and about 5 euros cheaper if you prefer mocktails. The event will be on the 23rd of September. The location is yet to be decided. Subscriptions for transport by AT are closed! The first run of the new college year is open for subscription, Udenhout! Many options for different categories, from beginner to advanced, are possible. On Saturday the 18th of September the options are:

1. Rookie 5,5 km Duo (from 10 year): Duo-run from 10 year, € 25.00
2. Rookie 5,5 km (from 10 year): Individual from 10 year, € 12.50
3. Recreanten 7 km (from 15 year): Individual from 15 year, € 18.50 1 Point
4. Recreanten 7 km Duo (from 15 year): Duo-run from 15 year, € 37.00

On Sunday the 19th of September the options are:

1. Lange Survival Run (LSR): Competition-license necessary, € 21.50
2. Middellange Survival Run (MSR): Competition-license necessary, € 21.50
3. Recreanten 18km (heavy): Individual from 18 year, € 21.50 3 Points
4. Duo-run 18 km (heavy): Duo-run from 18 Year, € 43.00
5. Recreanten 12 km (kinda heavy): Individual from 15 year, € 21.50 2 Points
6. Grouprun 12 km (kinda heavy): 4-person run from 15 year, € 86.00

Registration is already open and possible until 10-09-2021 (except if it is full before...) but it is cheaper to register before 30-08-2021! At 1000 on Saturday 31st July, our construction will receive some tender loving care. Some general maintenance will be done, the monkeyhang will be shifted, and some new obstacles will be built.   Coming along to help is a great way to give back to the construction that you use every training, and to catch up with some ATers! Lunch will be provided. It is useful to wear clothes you can climb in the construction with, and don't mind getting a bit dirty. No worries if you have no experience with building or knot-tying, the Parcour Committee is there to supervise.   Please register below so that we know how many people are joining for lunch.  

Kubb is a Swedish family game dating back to the middle ages. Since its rediscovery in the last couple of years It gained a lot of popularity, including among the All Terrain members! We usually play a game of Kubb or two while we are away on an outdoor weekend, but on the 18th of July around 14.00-17.00 we are organising a Kubb tournament. It is your time to shine and become the block-throwing superstar you knew you always were. Even if you are afraid of being a simple block-throwing baboon, don't worry: it is still going to a lot of fun just hanging out together. Joining the event is free, hope to see you!

1. To make up for the lost weekends away during Corona, All Terrain presents the Outro weekend!

  Nothing too complicated, just a joyful weekend of camping with your fellow AT'ers with some activities during the day, but also a lot of chilll, drinks, campfire (if the weather allows) and stories to catch up with everyone!   Take into account:

1. You need a working bike to bike to the campsite (trip is around 20 km)
2. We leave at 16.30 in Eindhoven(dinner provided at campsite) and are back on Sunday before dinner
3. The price will be max +-60 Euro
4. Tents can be dropped during the (summer) training of July 7th at the shed or when we leave
5. Take into account the Dutch weather, it probably won't be as cold as some Introweekends can get, but you never know!

The time has come, the first survival run in over a year! On the same grounds as the Dinxperlo run, a well known and AT favourite run, the KnoqOut run is held! This relay like survival run gives over 1.5 km of running, obstacles and even kayaking and archery!   You team up with 4 AT’ers who relieve each other after a round on the course, and you have the opportunity to run a round multiple times if your team is fast enough! This also gives the opportunity to learn from each other.   If you found a group of 3 AT'ers that want to run with you then you can sign up on the sbn site here. So you have to subscribe and pay for your team yourself. Please indicate if you do not have a team yet, so that we can find a team for you with other AT'ers! More info can be found here.   As the run is a relay like run, you are required to run the lap on your own, so unfortunately the run is less suited for new people as you cannot be assisted. You can however skip obstacles you are not comfortable with yet (with a small meaningless time penalty).  

To celebrae the 6th lustrum of All Terrain on a small scale the Lustrum Committee will organize a small event on the 1st of July. The event will consist of an afternoon program followed by a BBQ. Both will be at the Student Sportcentrum of the TU/e (More location details below). As stated in the previous mail participation to either of the BBQ or the afternoon program can be done individually. There will however be a maximum of 50 participants due to corona limitations. 

Planning 13:00 - 16:45: afternoon program  (0-3 euro) - Some sportive activities and/or boardgames - Might get wet, bring dry clothes (showers of SSC are open again) - Includes some some snacks and drinks 18:00 - 21:00: BBQ (15-20 euro) -Price includes several drinks, but if your a heavy drinker you should bring some coins for additional bevarages

The Lustrum Committee is dedicated to organizing a full and more comprehensive lustrum event next year. One which will include more activities over a longer period of time and will not be constraint by the current coronavirus pandemic. The current event is hence not a replacement of the actual event. It is merely a small scale event organized by the lustrum committee since they were already available to organize something in this period of time.  We hence hope to see most of you next year aswell! 

It is time to show your AT trivia skills! On the 18th of June, we will host the first offline Jeopardy where you will test your knowledge of All Terrain against other members. We will make our own amphitheater with, a beamer, tarp, and ropes. Together we are going to have a lot of fun and maybe learn even more about All Terrain and Survivalrunning. We will try to match you against evenly matched All Terrainers. The questions will feature a MIX of All Terrain questions and general trivia and will be presented in English.   What is Jeopardy? Jeopardy is a famous TV spell show that has been around since 1964, where you can only answer with questions. The spell host shows 5 categories with 5 questions per category (that's 25 questions). The questions range from easy to hard with the harder questions giving more money/points. 3 contestants at the same time will compete and the fastest player will be able to answer the question first, with his own question.  

Do you want to join a fun event? Over! Do you want to face challenges, work with a team and be outside? Over! Then this activity is something for you! Over!   The 12th of June AllTerrain is organizing a WalkieTalkie game. We will go to a nice nature area near Eindhoven and the participants will be placed in teams. You will be split over different starting points and have to find your way through the area. You will get a map....but it won't be yours. The members of a team have to communicate through WalkieTalkies to face the challenges and exchange the info for all to finish their route.   The only things you need to bring are a lot of energy and your typical orienteering outfit (for most the typical survivalrun sportsoutfit) so you can run across country . The location is somewhat outside of Eindhoven, so you do need a mode of transport from the train station to the location. By bike it will take around half an hour. Participating in the game is free of cost.   Hope to see you there! Over!   Note, the day was changed!
