Since training as a group outside is of course not allowed anymore, we are organizing a different kind of training. From 19:00 to 19:40 Justin will give a training via Zoom which you can join from your very own house :) Last week we already had almost 20 people show up, so let's see if we can beat that this week! Due to the Corona-Virus this event is postponed to a yet to be defined date   We are organizing another exchange event! The exchange will be with Quatsh where we will learn and play some games of Squash with them at the sport centre.   For those of you that don't know. Squash is a bit like tennis on only one half of the field where you need to hit the ball against a wall instead of over the net.    

The 22nd of March there will be another survivalrun in Zeist. It is a run with short distances and lot of fun obstacles. A review of the run can be found here. Subscriptions for the run are already open and they fill up quite fast so be sure to subscribe as soon as possible if you want to join. Subscribing can be done here and will be possible until the 7th of March although it will probably fill up already before then. The distances in the run are 5km (€16) and 8km (€19). The 8km has a light and a heavy variant. The heavy variant earns you a license point upon completion. Of course there is also a possibility for a KSR (€19) for license runners. There are no group runs but of course you can fill in All Terrain in the 'samenstartverzoek' (request to start together) or in the remarks so the organizers will put us in the same starting group. This year our friends at FEL are celebrating their association turning 5! For this joyous occasion they are organising a lustrum gala to which we are all invited! The gala will take place on Friday the 20th of March. As the OSMO we wanted to do more outdoor sports than just survivalrun. But we don't want to forget the survival part of our association. When you get stranded all alone on a deserted island you need to have some knowledge on how to survive and after these three workshops, you'll be able to die slower and in more comfort!   First, we asked the student scouting association to show us how to build Furniture from pieces of wood And of course, we want to make new Friends so we'll also stay and look in a campfire with a beer (or warm chocolate milk) in our hands. Secondly, we asked Ludo to teach us about Fire and Food. So how to build a fire even in less fortunate circumstances and baking bread on a stick. Thirdly, Stijn is going to build a Fsjelter and show us how to do it ourselves too!   You don't need to join all three trainings again. But it's definitely encouraged because only then can you become a fully-fledged survivaler. For this exchange only a maximum of 15 people will be allowed to come. The 2nd and 3rd workshop doesn't have a real max limit! The costs of joining the workshops will be 1 euro. So joining all three, only 2 or only 1 will cost 1 euro. We are organizing an exchange event so you can limber up in a different way than the normal Survivalrun trainings. The exchange will be with Ilyeo where we can join them for their Taekwondo training while they will come by us the day before.   What's Taekwondo you ask? Taekwondo is a martial art where you mostly practice kicking. Basically you can vent off some steam at punching bags by kicking the crap out of them!   For the training you should wear normal sporting clothes that cover your shoulders and knees. No sporting shoes are necessary is the training is on bare feet.   The training will be on the 9th of March from 18:30 to 20:00 in hal 1 of the SSCE. If you are interested please subscribe below.  

As All Terrainers we are able to cross all kinds of terrains, whether it is mud, rocks, sand or water. Now it is time to add one more terrain to that list and show our skills on ice because we are going ice skating. This event will take place on Thursday March the 5th from 20:00-22:00 at the ice sporting centre in Eindhoven. At the SSCE you can get a sticker to get €2.50 discount on the entree fee. AT also sponsors a bit so if you get the sticker and also bring your own ice skates the costs will be only €2.50! If you need to rent skates, it will cost an additional €6. If people want, we can get some hot chocolate at the sports bar afterwards.

The next NSSW is coming up from the 28th of February till the 1st of March! The National Student Survivalrun Weekend is a weekend that we organize together with all the other student survival associations in the Netherlands, where members of all associations can join. This year we have the first Lustrum of the NSSW, which means we will do some extra special things! We will do fun group activities, play games, do survivalrun and much more! Some people run with constraints, but I prefer running freely. Of course, I want more people to feel the sensation of removing their shackles and thus I will take you free-running here in Eindhoven. Commit040 is a magical place full of cool obstacles we have never seen before, and that's where we'll learn a new and valuable skill. Their gym (indoors) is at Professor Horowitzstraat 200. There will be 3 workshops again and you'll be able to pick and choose which date you want to join. All workshops will start at 19:00 and end at 20:30. The cost will be FREE per workshop. More details will follow soon. The first workshop will be on Tuesday the 11th of February. (15/15 spots taken) The second workshop will be on Tuesday the 18th of February. (13/20 spots taken)

The third and last workshop will be on Tuesday the 25th of February. (16/20 spots taken)

The total amount of people that are allowed to join each workshop is only 15 people. And this time it's expected to fill up fast, so be sure to be the first to subscribe! The workshop on the first 2 weeks are full, but if you still subscribe for it you'll be put on the reserve list in case someone drops out! New info informed me that we can bring 20 people per workshop. So we'll have more spots open for the taking!

Carnaval is almost upon us and that means it is time to dress up and have a fun time here in Eindhoven. What is Carnaval you say?!? It is a tradition of all the provinces below the rivers to at least once a year dress up and make belief you are a character or object you love. All this while listening to crappy dutch music and sing-a-longs.   This year we have a nice coordinated app where everyone who wants to participate can join and party together.
