The 14th of December Saint Nicholas already left the country but he still left an event. During these cold December days we would like to give you a cosy (Dutch style) event before the Christmas break. So snug in and sign up!   After getting to know each other better, we'll entertain ourselves with a dice game with presents. For this, you are asked to bring wrapped presents. At least one of these presents should be something you already have in your house (Yes this is the ideal way of getting rid of that present Saint Nicholas got you this year in case you didn't like it :p). The other presents should be bought with a budget of 5 euros (can be one or multiple). You don’t know who will receive your gifts beforehand.   The committee will arrange snacks and drinks. The costs for this will be split afterwards, although we can already tell you that All Terrain will also pay for some Sinterklaas goodies to keep up the good atmosphere and we expect the costs to stay below 5 euro.   We are hoping to see you all and make a wonderful cosy Sinterklaas out of it! Our sister association Tartaros, in Enschede is organizing the 7th edition of their run, the Tartaros Campus Challenge. The route crosses the largest part of the campus of the University of Twente and a part of the Abraham Ledeboerpark.   There are two distances, 6km and 9km, and on the 9km you can choose between a lighter or a heavier variant (BSR or KSR). You can also run individually or in group.   Registration is already open and possible until December the 3rd (except if it is full before..), the BSR and KSR versions close on the 5th of November. Dear All Terrainers,   That time of the year has arrived again: the AT Christmas Dinner! This year it will be on Saturday, the 9th of December, and again we will have a lovely meal prepared for you! And don't worry about the last train/bus that needs to take you home, we can arrange sleeping places :)   To create a seated place for everyone, we do need some extra chairs and tables, so if you have any that you can bring, let us know :)   There are limited spaces available, 18 in total. After this, you will be put a waiting list. It's first come, first serve, so be quick!

We are very excited to announce that the next BOSSO exchange will take place in Utrecht! On Saturday the 2nd of December from 15:00-17:00 you are all welcome to come train and explore Simius' training course. After the training there will be the possibility to have some drinks and you can also buy dinner at your own expense in the cafe. There is more information in the sign-up form.

In the outdoors strings and ropes can be useful in many, many ways, but most of the time that starts with a knot. Knowing your knots is not just handy for setting up your shelter, but is also needed for setting up the training obstacles. So if you are doing survival runs with us and haven’t done a knotting course yet, this is one not to miss!

 

In this course, you will learn how to make a clove hitch, a bowline, and more, and where to apply them. Also, we teach you how to take care of the beloved ropes. The course consists of two evenings: 16th of November and 30th of November, where you will get a chance to practically apply your knots. You are expected to attend both evenings.

It's party time, it's time for getting to know all those AT people in an intimate setting, it's time to brew up your own drinks. In short: Cocktail-night time! And yes it is also suitable for those who don't drink alcohol since we will provide the ingredients for a set of mocktails as well. You can mix up a variety of drinks all within theme and of course we'll provide some snacks. The price will be around 10-15 euros if you want alcohol and about 5-7 euros cheaper if you prefer mocktails.   The theme will be about fall, so dress up in leaves, follow fall colors or associate away about gravity.
